PRESSR: Gulf Air signs collective labour agreement with pilots union

Muharraq, Bahrain : Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has signed a collective labour agreement with the Gulf Air Pilots Union (GAPTU) , setting out the terms and conditions of pilot employment and allowances that have been the subject of a dispute for several years, in a move that ends negotiations amicably between the two parties .
The agreement was signed by Mr. Jeffrey Goh, Gulf Air Group Chief Executive Officer, and Captain Issa Al-Binali, President of the Gulf Air Pilots Association, in the presence of a number of representatives from both parties .
The CEO of Gulf Air Group expressed his pleasure at signing the collective labour agreement with the union, which sets out the terms and conditions of current pilots’ allowances and lays the foundation for future employment in line with the provisions of the Bahraini Labour Law, stressing that this agreement opens a new chapter in the relationship between the executive management and the union, based on coordination. And cooperation, which enhances the focus on achieving sustainable success for the company .
For his part, Captain Issa Al Binali, Chairman of the Gulf Air Pilots Association, expressed his gratitude to the executive management of Gulf Air for the positive outcome of the negotiations between the two parties. He extended his thanks and appreciation to all pilots for their continuous support for the work of the Association and their dedication to the workplace, which reflects their dedication And their efforts. Congratulating the pilots and the Gulf Air family on this achievement, which comes as a result of cooperation and understanding between all concerned parties, and contributes to enhancing the work environment and motivates pilots to give more and be more loyal .
