Kuwait - Mubasher: The Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) affirmed on Monday its commitment to providing all means of support to ensure the success of partnerships and facilitate fruitful cooperation between Kuwaiti and Brazilian companies.
According to the Chamber’s statement, this came during its reception of a Brazilian economic delegation headed by the Secretary-General of the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Muhammad Murad, and the Brazilian Ambassador, Rodrigo Arachugabes. The meeting was also attended by a number of interested business owners.
The Chamber said that the Kuwaiti private sector is keen to explore international partnerships that open new horizons for growth and development, noting that Kuwaiti-Brazilian relations extend over decades of mutual cooperation that included various fields.
The Chamber added that Kuwait is enhancing energy security in Brazil through its oil exports, while Brazil has played a pivotal role in securing Kuwait's food needs, making this economic partnership have integrated strategic dimensions.
In addition, joint efforts continued to explore broader areas of trade and investment, reflecting the two countries’ commitment to developing and strengthening this relationship.
She added that the presence of an elite group of representatives from the Brazilian aviation, agriculture, renewable energy and heavy industries sectors adds a new dimension to the partnership, and this diversity comes at an ideal time, as Kuwait moves forward in implementing Vision 2035.
Vision 2035 aims to build a sustainable economy based on diversification, innovation, enhancing food security, sustainability in the energy sector, and logistical excellence.
For his part, Secretary General of the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Mohammed Murad, said that today's event contributes to strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, pointing out that there are great potentials for cooperation between them, especially in exports of various products in addition to the oil sectors.
The Director of the International Office of the Arab-Brazilian Chamber, residing in Dubai, Rafael Solimeo, also gave a presentation on the Chamber’s work and the services it provides, which support Arab-Brazilian relations.
Tathian from the Brazilian Trade and Investment Agency also gave a presentation on the agency’s role, as it is considered a link between decision-makers and business owners, noting that there is a focus on the Arabian Gulf region, and a keenness to enhance trade there.
The meeting also witnessed a presentation by the Investment and Trade Promotion Agency of the State of Sao Paulo, the airline company (EMBRAER), and the agricultural studies company (EMBRAPA).
Bilateral meetings were held between Kuwaiti companies and their Brazilian counterparts to discuss establishing partnerships and reviewing details related to projects and opportunities available in Brazil.
