A committee in the European Parliament is moving to reduce tariffs on US goods.

- A European Parliament committee voted on Tuesday to scrap EU tariffs on a number of U.S. goods, in a move aimed at complying with a trade deal reached with the United States last year and avoiding a return to the transatlantic tariff dispute.

The legislation still needs to be approved by the full European Parliament in mid-June, but the committee's endorsement on Tuesday gives a strong indication of how that crucial vote will proceed.
