Cairo - Mubasher: Dr. Moamen Adel, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Belban Company, said that the closure of Belban stores in Saudi Arabia was due to health reasons.

In a phone call with Amr Adeeb, host of the program "Al Hekaya," broadcast on MBC Masr, the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Balban Company added that the closure of the Kingdom's branches was due to health reasons, and that the Jazan branch and other branches will soon reopen within the next week. He added that the Kingdom was the beating heart of the company after Egypt.

He explained that the reason for the closure in the Kingdom was a result of suspected cases of gastroenteritis, according to a statement from the Saudi Ministry of Health. However, the number of people was large and the cases were recorded at a specific time, and they informed us of this and that they would implement a precautionary closure to determine the exact causes and problem.

He noted that in the UAE and Jordan, tests were conducted by the Ministries of Health, and that there were no problems in our branches there, and the samples were normal. However, the situation in Egypt changed overnight.

He continued: "How did they find the same bacteria in balban, mahmy, kunafa, basbousa, and umm shaltat at the same time?"
