Traders: Jordan bought 60,000 tons of wheat in a tender

- Jordan's state grain buyer purchased about 60,000 tonnes of hard milling wheat of optional origins in an international tender on Tuesday, traders said.

Their estimates indicate that the purchase was made from the Bulgarian commodity trading house Beldcom at a price of $276 per ton including shipping costs, with delivery expected in the second half of August.

Traders added that other trading companies that participated in today's tender were CHS, Ameropa and Dreyfus, and their offers per ton including shipping costs were $278.80, $280.60 and $282 respectively.

Traders expect a new wheat tender to be issued in the coming days to purchase 120,000 tons, with a closing date of June 9.

These reports reflect the assessments of traders, and further price and volume estimates may be issued later.

Jordan issued a separate tender to purchase 120,000 tons of barley feed, with bids due tomorrow, Wednesday.
