Palestine national team player Muhajna will be out for six weeks after sustaining an injury in a friendly match against Qatari club Al Rayyan.

- Palestine defender Amid Mahajna will be out of action for up to six weeks with an injury he sustained during a recent friendly match with his team in Doha.

The Qatar Stars League club said on its X platform on Saturday, "Muhajna (28 years old) suffered an injury to the hamstring muscle of his left thigh during a friendly match the team played in Doha. After conducting the necessary tests, it was confirmed that the player will be absent from the team for a period of up to six weeks."

Al Rayyan traveled to Spain to hold a training camp in preparation for the new season, which will continue until August 1.

Al Rayyan will play six friendly matches during the external camp.

During the current summer transfer window, Al Rayyan signed a number of local players, most notably Jassim Jaber, Mohamed Ibrahim, Ahmed Alaa, Bahaa Al-Leithi, Abdullah Youssef, and Mahmoud Abu Nada, while the Egyptian Mahmoud Hassan (Trezeguet), Adam Bareiro from Paraguay, and the Dutch Joshua Brent, in addition to the Brazilian trio Thiago Mendes, goalkeeper Paulo Victor, and striker Romarinho, left its ranks.

The Qatar Stars League announced that the 2025-2026 season of the competition will kick off on August 14.
