WASHINGTON, May 17 (Reuters) - U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said on Sunday that Washington expects a "double-digit" increase in Chinese purchases of U.S. agricultural products, following a meeting last week in Beijing between U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Greer added to CBS News, "What we expect regarding the new purchase agreements... is a double-digit increase in overall purchases of American agricultural products. When I say overall, I mean everything else, maybe soybeans, beef, grains, dairy, and all sorts of other things."
He indicated that more details regarding the agreements would be revealed soon.
