LONDON, July 6 (Reuters) - The United Arab Emirates increased its crude oil output to near record highs, exceeding 3.8 million barrels per day in June, two sources familiar with production data said on Monday, after withdrawing from OPEC to shed production restrictions.
According to Reuters estimates, June production was the highest since April 2020, exceeding levels seen before the Iran war, providing an early justification for the UAE's decision to withdraw from OPEC and the OPEC+ alliance in early May to free production from quota restrictions.
The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and the UAE Ministry of Energy have not yet responded to a Reuters request for comment.
