Human Rights Commission: We will send a team of investigators to Lebanon next week
June 10 (Reuters) - The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk, said on Wednesday that the commission will send a team of investigators to Lebanon next week to assess possible violations of international law by all parties in the country's ongoing war.
Lebanon was drawn into the wider Middle East conflict on March 2 when Hezbollah fired rockets at Israel in support of Iran in its war with the United States and Israel, which in turn launched a large-scale air and ground campaign against the country.
