- Morocco's Renaissance Berkane suffered their second consecutive defeat in the African Champions League group stage after losing 2-0 to hosts Power Dynamos of Zambia in the fifth round of Group A, postponing their qualification for the quarter-finals until the final round.

Renaissance Berkane lost 3-0 in the last round against group leaders Pyramids in Cairo, thus securing the Egyptian team's qualification for the quarter-finals.

At the Levy Manawasa Stadium in Ndola, the home team scored two goals in the second half .

Ronel Manyanga opened the scoring two minutes into the second half when he capitalized on a defensive error to put the ball into the net of Berkane goalkeeper Mehdi Meftah.

Prince Mumba doubled the score in the second minute of stoppage time when he received a cross from substitute Chifundo Mfassi and converted it with a powerful shot from inside the penalty area into Miftah's net to secure the win and the three points.

Power Dynamos' tally rose to seven points, placing them third , trailing second-placed Berkane only on goal difference.

The battle is now open between the two teams to join Pyramids in the quarter-finals.

Egypt's Pyramids lead the group with ten points from four games before playing away against Nigeria's Rivers United on Sunday.

Renaissance Berkane will host Rivers United in the final round next Friday, while Pyramids will play at home against Power Dynamos.
