Abu Dhabi Media Office: The Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation confirmed that the fire did not affect the safety of the plant or the readiness of its basic systems, and that all stations are operating as usual.
May 17 (Reuters) - The Abu Dhabi Media Office said on Sunday that authorities in the emirate dealt with a fire that broke out in an electrical generator outside the inner perimeter of the Barakah nuclear power plant in the Al Dhafra region, caused by a drone strike.
The office added that the fire did not result in any injuries or affect radiation safety levels, and all precautionary measures were taken.
The Abu Dhabi Media Office said the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation confirmed that the fire "did not affect the safety of the station or the readiness of its basic systems and that all stations are operating as usual."
