PRESSR: Mumtalakat announces the joining of two elite Bahraini talents to its work team
Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain: Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat), the sovereign wealth fund of the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced the appointment of Mr. Khalid Taqi to the position of General Manager of Domestic Investments and Mr. Issa Hassan Masih to the position of General Manager of Risk and Investment Structuring, as part of its continuing efforts to attract talent. Bahraini Ministry of Finance to strengthen its work team, starting from January 2024.
On this occasion, His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, CEO of Mumtalakat, said: “We are pleased to have two distinguished Bahraini talents join our work team, which reflects our continued commitment to attracting Bahraini talent, whose ability we believe to contribute to enhancing the growth of our portfolio and continuing to achieve sustainable returns.”
Khaled Taqi has extensive experience in the investment field. Before joining Mumtalakat, he graduated during his work at Osool to hold several positions, the last of which was Chief Investment Officer. Khaled began his career with the Consulting Services team at Ernst & Young, Bahrain, during which he was involved in working across diverse sectors such as banking, telecommunications, real estate, and construction. Khaled holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce and finance from Concordia University in Canada and a master’s degree in finance from DePaul University in the United States of America.
Issa Hassan Masih has more than 25 years of commercial and investment banking experience in the areas of risk management, credit and compliance. Prior to joining Mumtalakat, he held the position of Group Chief Executive Officer - Risk Management at the National Bank of Bahrain, in addition to a number of executive positions in risk management at Al Salam Bank, BMI Bank, United Gulf Bank, and Gulf Finance House. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Bahrain Islamic Bank. . Issa holds an MBA with honors from DePaul University, USA and a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University, Canada. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst ( CFA ) and a Professional Risk Manager ( PRM ).
