Morgan Stanley raises its Brent crude price forecast due to geopolitical risks.
February 23 (Reuters) - Morgan Stanley raised its short-term forecast for Brent crude prices, saying the geopolitical risk premium is likely to persist for some time, adding that it still expects prices to fall to $60 a barrel later this year.
The bank now expects Brent crude to average $62.5 per barrel in the second quarter, up from its previous forecast of $57.5. It also raised its forecast for the third quarter to $60 per barrel from $57.5.
