US Department of Transportation: Approval granted for Riyadh Airlines to operate flights to America

- The U.S. Department of Transportation announced on Tuesday that Saudi Arabia's new airline, Riyadh Air, has been granted a license to operate flights to and from the United States.

The airline launched its first flights to London with its new fleet of Boeing aircraft last week. Riyadh Airlines, established in 2023, is the second national carrier in the Kingdom after Saudi Arabian Airlines, and is owned by the Public Investment Fund.

The U.S. Department of Transportation confirmed that "granting this license is in the public interest."
