The Turkish Energy Minister, in response to a question about the Strait of Hormuz, said: "We need to prepare for the possibility that the crisis will continue for a longer period."

- Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar said on Monday that the world should prepare for the possibility that the energy price and supply crisis caused by a war with Iran could last longer.

In comments to a television channel, Bayraktar added that Turkey is not currently facing any supply problems, but some developments related to the Strait of Hormuz, along with the UAE's withdrawal from the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), have increased the uncertainty.
