Dubai Crown Prince: Contracts for Al Maktoum Airport expansion worth $15 billion to be awarded soon

- Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said on Monday that strategic project contracts within the expansion plan for Al Maktoum International Airport in the UAE will exceed 55 billion dirhams ($14.98 billion) and are scheduled to be awarded in the coming months.

The Crown Prince of Dubai added in a post on X, "Dubai teams continue to work on implementing the Al Maktoum International Airport development project according to the approved timetable, which aims to operate the first phase in 2032... Currently, contracts worth 13 billion dirhams are being implemented, while more than 10 million work hours have been completed during the past 15 months, and the pace of implementation will accelerate during the next phase with the launch of strategic projects within the airport exceeding 55 billion dirhams in value during the next few months."
