Wall Street opens higher, buoyed by a rebound in the technology sector.

- Wall Street's main indexes opened higher on Thursday as investors sought to buy battered technology stocks while also awaiting developments related to the conflict in the Middle East.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 53.3 points, or 0.11 percent, to 49,972.07, and the Standard & Poor's 500 gained 20.7 points, or 0.28 percent, to 7,287.67.

The Nasdaq Composite Index rose 140.3 points, or 0.56 percent, to 25,309.778 points.
