AED 56.5 billion in revenues expected for the UAE media sector by 2025.

Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: A recent report issued by the Interregional Center for Strategic Analysis revealed that the total expected value of media sector revenues in the UAE is approximately AED 56.5 billion by 2025.
According to the report issued today, Sunday, the sector's revenues this year are distributed across three main sectors, led by digital, with revenues of approximately AED 42.5 billion, followed by print, with revenues of approximately AED 13.1 billion.
According to the report, revenues from the cinema and visual media sector amount to approximately 870 million dirhams.
According to the report, digital media is the most important driver of growth in the media sector in the UAE, with revenues reaching AED 30.4 billion by 2023.
This figure is expected to rise to approximately AED 67.8 billion by 2030, at a compound annual growth rate of 12.1%, according to the report.
The sector generated revenues exceeding AED 800 million in 2024, indicating growing local and regional demand for UAE-made content, as well as the incentives provided to filmmakers and investors in this field.
On the regulatory front, 2024 also saw the issuance of more than 9,000 new media licenses, including 600 licenses for social media influencers, reflecting the expanding base of digital sector workers and its growing vitality.
The report predicts that digital advertising in the country will achieve a compound annual growth rate of 12% between 2025 and 2033, which in turn supports the sustainability of media institutions' funding.
The 23rd edition of the Arab Media Summit will kick off at the Dubai World Trade Centre tomorrow, Monday, May 26, and Tuesday, May 28, under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE.
