Asia Naphtha/Gasoline-Naphtha prices climb, mirroring Brent gains
NEW DELHI, May 11 (Reuters) - Asia's naphtha prices rose on Monday in tandem with a rally in crude oil prices although discussion on June-loading cargoes continued even at high prices.
The price for second-half June climbed by about $62 to $1,028.50 per metric ton. The crack for Asia rose by about $36 per metric ton to about $250 a ton.
A Japanese buyer emerged for second-half June loading cargo and bought it at a premium of $45-46 per ton to Japan quotes on cost and freight basis last week, market sources said.
Traders said market participants were looking for workarounds to get supplies out of Strait of Hormuz.
