March 14 (Reuters) - BMW's BMWG.DE Chief Executive said on Friday that the carmaker built roughly as many cars in the U.S., Europe, and China as it sold in each market, according to a copy of a speech at the carmaker's annual results conference at seen in advance.
A total of 56% of vehicles BMW makes in Germany are exported outside of the European Union, and its plant in South Carolina exports cars worth over $10 billion, making the company the largest U.S. automotive exporter by value, according to Oliver Zipse.
"We benefit from an integrated global economy. That is why we continue to advocate for open markets and free trade," he said.
