WASHINGTON, May 20 (Reuters Breakingviews) - The irascible New Englander who co-led the legislative response to the 2008 financial crisis has died at 86. Despite recent deregulation, the Dodd-Frank law’s framework for safeguarding banks from their own worst impulses reshaped US finance in ways that cannot be simply undone.
