NEW YORK, July 20 (Reuters Breakingviews) - Donald Trump's social media platform is selling speedy access to his posts. Demand from hedge funds for market-moving news could produce a $1.5 bln sales boost for the almost revenue-free group. Only the president's limited time in office restricts his self-monetization efforts.

Trump Media & Technology Group on July 16 announced that it will begin selling speedier access to the Truth Social posts of President Donald Trump and other market influencers on its platform. The company has discussed charging Wall Street traders and investment firms as much as $100,000 a month, Reuters reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
TMTG said it has already signed up some customers and expects to be onboarding others soon. A trust owned by Donald Trump owns 41% of the social media company.
