WASHINGTON, July 10 (Reuters Breakingviews) - The US squad led by Tim Ream crashed out, but the tournament’s hosts can take some comfort. Yes, $13 bln in sponsorship and TV revenue goes to FIFA while local boosts are modest. Yet by using existing infrastructure, it’s far less a boondoggle than editions in Brazil or Qatar.
