** Shares of medical device maker Dexcom DXCM.O rise 2.1% to $59 in extended trade

** Dexcom says it has agreed to collaborate with Elliott Investment Management, one of Dexcom's largest investors, to identify two new independent members to join the company's board

** The two independent directors with medtech and operations experience to be named at a later date

** With these additions, the board will have appointed six new independent directors since the beginning of 2023 - DXCM

** The company adds that the existing Technology Committee on the board will now become the Operations and Innovation Committee
