** U.S.-listed shares of Canadian space tech co MDA Space MDA.N down 7.2% at $35.88 on Thurs after increased equity raise for acquisition

** MDA increases bought deal offering to 23 mln shares, from 20 mln shares, at $35.60 for about $819 mln gross proceeds

** Offering price represents 7.9% discount to U.S. shares last close

** MDA intends to use net proceeds to fund announced acquisition of approx 70% interest in earth observation and satellite data analytics co Collecte Localisation Satellites (CLS) for about €567 mln (about $650 mln)

** The French space agency, CNES, to retain approx 30% interest in CLS as part of the deal, which is expected to close late this year or early 2027

** MDA said CLS expected to generate about €286 mln ($325 mln) of rev in 2026, supported by more than 14,000 customers across roughly 150 countries, and to be accretive to adjusted EBITDA and earnings within the first year of ownership

** BMO and RBC joint lead bookrunners for equity offering; JP Morgan, Scotiabank and BofA joint active bookrunners

** Even with the decline, MDA's U.S. shares up 85% YTD
