HOUSTON, Jan 30 (Reuters) - Chevron CVX.N CEO Mike Wirth said on Friday that a power outage at the Tengiz oilfield in Kazakhstan was due to a mechanical issue and not sabotage or a cyberattack.
An investigation into the cause of the outage was still ongoing, Wirth said during Chevron's fourth-quarter earnings call with analysts.
Two loading berths are back in service at the Caspian Pipeline Consortium, the main export route for the Tengiz field, while a third berth will receive major maintenance work and be returned to service later this year, he said.
