CVC enters deal to buy Italy's Irca from Advent
June 29 (Reuters) - Private equity firm CVC CVC.AS said on Monday it entered into an agreement to acquire Italian dessert ingredients maker Irca from Advent International.
The sale could fetch between €2.5 billion and €3 billion ($2.7 billion–$3.2 billion), sources previously told Reuters earlier this month.
Irca has a global manufacturing and distribution platform spanning across 19 facilities and a customer base in over 100 countries.
Irca's revenue has increased from €370 million in 2021 to €1.5 billion today since Advent's investment.
CVC will work closely with Irca to support company's growth through expansion in the U.S. and EMEA markets.
Deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.
