Czech billionaire Tykac's Sev.en GI buys oil assets in Texas from UpCurve Energy
PRAGUE, May 20 (Reuters) - Sev.en Global Investments, owned by Czech billionaire investor Pavel Tykac, has acquired a portfolio in Texas that produces around 13,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day from Houston-based UpCurve Energy I and II, Sev.en GI said on Wednesday.
The purchase is Sev.en GI's first upstream investment under its Sev.en US Resources unit.
"Sev.en GI intends to use it as a foundation for building a strategic base for both organic and inorganic growth in the oil and gas upstream sector," Sev.en GI said.
Sev.en GI has assets in the United States, Europe and Australia, mainly in mining, power production, coal mining and steel production.
