U.S. stocks traded mixed midway through trading, with the Dow Jones index falling over 100 points on Monday.

The Dow traded down 0.21% to 52,036.64 while the NASDAQ climbed 0.79% to 25,720.74. The S&P 500 also rose, gaining, 0.40% to 7,487.38.

Communication services shares jumped by 1.7% on Monday.

In trading on Monday, financial stocks fell by 0.4%.

Top Headline

Shares of Ryanair Holdings PLC (NASDAQ:RYAAY) fell more than 5% on Monday following weak first-quarter results.

Ryanair reported quarterly earnings of $1.19 per share which missed the analyst consensus estimate of $1.35 per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $5.097 billion which missed the analyst consensus estimate of $5.210 billion.

  • IREN Ltd (NASDAQ:IREN) shares shot up 16% to $38.93 after the company announced that it raised its year-end AI Cloud annualized run-rate revenue target.
  • Shares of AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc (NYSE:AMC) got a boost, surging 12% to $2.16 after the company reported better-than-expected second-quarter financial results.
  • Advanced Biomed Inc (NASDAQ:ADVB) shares were also up, gaining 70% to $8.57 after the company announced it delivered its notice to terminate its purchase agreement with Helena Global Investment Opportunities.

Equities Trading DOWN

  • QumulusAI Inc (NASDAQ:QMLS) shares dropped 20% to $11.50. The company announced the purchase of 1,632 NVIDIA Blackwell B300 GPUs to meet accelerating customer demand for high-performance AI compute.
  • Shares of Globavend Holdings Ltd (NASDAQ:GVH) were down 62% to $1.83. Globavend’s Loomi signed a global distribution agreement with DramaBox, reaching platform with over 90 million registered users.
  • VCI Global Ltd (NASDAQ:VCIG) was down, falling 20% to $0.73. VCI Global regained Nasdaq listing compliance after filing FY 2025 Form 20-F on July 15.

In commodity news, oil traded down 0.2% to $82.34 while gold traded down 0.2% at $4,010.70.

Silver traded up 1.3% to $57.035 on Monday, while copper rose 1.3% to $6.3485.

European shares were lower today. The eurozone’s STOXX 600 declined 0.4%, while Spain’s IBEX 35 Index fell 0.1% London’s FTSE 100 fell 0.7%, Germany’s DAX declined 0.3%, while France’s CAC 40 slipped 0.2%.
