LONDON, June 30 (Reuters) - Northwest European gasoline refining margins rose 75 cents to $35.43 a barrel on Tuesday as worries about shortages lifted margins to levels last seen in mid-2022.

• Shell sold around 6,000 metric tons of Eurobob E10 gasoline barges to Exxon and Varo.

• An additional 14,000 tons of Eurobob E5 gasoline barges were traded, with Exxon selling to Gunvor and TotalEnergies.

• U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent urged gasoline retailers on Tuesday to lower prices as the U.S. celebrates its 250th birthday, reinforcing President Donald Trump's message with a warning: "we're watching."

• Japan's domestic oil product sales last month fell 5.2% from a year earlier to 1.98 million bpd. Gasoline sales dropped 0.9% to 700,436 bpd.

• Russia may allow companies to temporarily produce gasoline and diesel with lower quality and allow lower quality imports, Kommersant daily newspaper said on Monday, as the country tries to ease the fuel crisis amid Ukraine's attacks on its refineries.

• India has lowered windfall taxes on exports of diesel and aviation turbine fuel while raising the duty on petrol exports, according to a government order.

• In September, Ireland will begin to gradually reverse cuts to excise duties on fuels introduced earlier this year.
