LONDON, May 6 (Reuters) - Northwest European gasoline refinery profit margins fell by about $1 on Wednesday despite a drop in U.S. inventories on signs of progress in US-Iran peace talks which could pave the way for improved shipping activity in the Gulf.

• A total of 34,000 metric tons of E5 gasoline barges traded in the Argus window as BP, Shell, Equinor and Trafigura sold to TotalEnergies and Exxon Mobil.

• An additional 24,000 tons of E10 gasoline barges changed hands, with Shell and Gunvor selling to Varo, Exxon and Trafigura.

• U.S. gasoline stocks USOILG=ECI fell by 2.5 million barrels last week to 219.8 million barrels, the Energy Information Administration said, compared with analysts' expectations in a Reuters poll for a 2.1 million-barrel draw.​

• U.S. exports of petroleum products rose by 483,000 barrels per day (bpd) to a record 8.224 million bpd in the week ended May 1, the EIA said.

• Russian oil company Rosneft ROSN.MM has filed another lawsuit with a local German court against the trusteeship of its German subsidiaries, which are majority owners in the PCK Schwedt refinery, Politico news outlet reported on Wednesday.

• India's Reliance Industries RELI.NS will shut some units at its 660,000 bpd refinery for 3-4 weeks for maintenance after Nayara Energy resumes operations later this month, a senior petroleum ministry official said on Wednesday.
