NEW YORK, May 1 (Reuters) - U.S. spot natural gas prices at the Henry Hub benchmark in Louisiana averaged a two-year low for the month of April, pricing data from financial firm LSEG showed.

Gas prices averaged $2.77 per million British thermal units (mmBtu) in April, their lowest for the month since 2024.

That was down from averages of $3.41 per mmBtu in April 2025 and $3.28 during the month over the past five years (2021-2025).

In calendar year 2025, prices at Henry Hub averaged $3.53 per mmBtu, up from a four-year low of $2.19 in 2024 and a five-year average of $3.72. NGAS/POLL
