CMA Mandates Enhanced Disclosure for Listed Firms

The Capital Market Authority (CMA) announced new requirements for listed companies on the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) to disclose net profit and total comprehensive income attributable to the issuer’s shareholders, excluding minority interests. This amendment aims to improve financial transparency and analysis accuracy, safeguarding shareholder and investor rights. The changes will be reflected in upcoming financial results disclosure templates for companies, banks, and insurance firms.

Surge in Mining Licenses Issued by Industry Ministry

In December 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources granted 201 new mining licenses, according to the National Industrial and Mining Information Center. These included 159 exploration licenses, 20 small mining and extraction licenses, 18 building materials licenses, and two each for reconnaissance and surplus mineral ore. By year-end, active licenses totaled 2,925, with queries of building materials leading at 1,553.

Trump's Remarks on Dollar Devaluation Boost Gold Prices

On January 27, US President Trump expressed that he did not see a significant devaluation of the dollar, stating it was performing well and expected currency fluctuations. He suggested he could influence the dollar's value but described such manipulation as undesirable. Following his comments, the US Dollar Index dropped over 50 points to a four-year low, while gold surged past US$5,190 per ounce.

Alinma Bank 2025 Profit up 9.7% to SAR 6.4B; Q4 at SAR 1.72B

Alinma Bank(1150.SA) announced a 9.7% rise in net profit to SAR6,397.1 million for 2025. Total operating profit increased by 8.82%, driven by higher financing and investment income. Assets grew 12.37% to SAR311,067.1 million, while investments rose 16.45%. The bank attributed profit growth to increased operating income and noted an unmodified auditor's report. Earnings per share reached SAR2.37, excluding treasury shares.

Alinma Bank Proposes 20% Capital Increase via Bonus Shares

Alinma Bank(1150.SA)'s board has recommended a 20% capital increase by issuing bonus shares, granting one share for every five held. This move aims to enhance financial solvency and support strategic goals. Capital will rise from SAR25 billion to SAR30 billion, utilizing SAR5 billion from reserves and retained earnings. Shareholders registered by the second trading day post-Extraordinary General Assembly will be eligible, pending regulatory and assembly approvals.

Saudi AZM Reports 16.76% Revenue Growth and 34.48% Profit Increase in Q4 2025

Saudi Azm for Communication and Information Technology Co.(7211.SA) announced a 16.76% revenue increase to SAR 74.67 million for the quarter ending December 31, 2025, driven by new projects. Net profit rose by 34.48% to SAR 9.73 million, attributed to higher gross profit and reduced tax expenses. Despite increased operating costs, AZM's comprehensive income improved significantly. 

SNB Proposes SAR 1.15 per Share Dividend for H2 2025

The Saudi National Bank(1180.SA)'s board recommended a cash dividend of SAR 1.15 per share, totaling SAR 6.9 billion, for H2 2025, representing 11.5% of capital. Shareholders registered with Edaa by the EGM date and two trading days after will be eligible. For 2025, total dividends reached SAR 12.9 billion (21.5% of capital). The proposal has received Saudi Central Bank approval, with payment and EGM dates yet to be announced.
