Tadawul All Shares Index(TASI.SA) edged up 0.2%, or 25 points, to 10,742 on July 20, with turnover around SAR 4 billion and an intraday range of 10,754–10,707. Breadth was soft — 86 advancers against 183 decliners.
Bank earnings set the tone: The Saudi National Bank(1180.SA) added 1% to SAR 38.56, Arab National Bank(1080.SA) jumped 4.2% to SAR 21.71, and Bank Albilad(1140.SA) rose 2% to SAR 24.49 after their Q2 results. Knowledge Economic City(4310.SA) climbed 4.8% on a 13.5x volume spike, while National Agricultural Development Co.(6010.SA) fell 4% after its Q2 profit dropped.
On Wall Street, the S&P 500 index(SPX.US) slipped 0.19% to 7,443.28, the Nasdaq Composite NASDAQ(IXIC.US) eased 0.05% to 25,508.07, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average(DJI.US) dropped 307.16 points, or 0.59%, to 51,839.26. A more than 2% decline in Apple Inc.(AAPL.US) weighed on the blue-chip gauge, as oil prices advanced on the latest U.S.–Iran military exchanges.

Saudi Real Estate Price Index Climbs 1.3% in Q2 2026
Saudi Arabia's real estate price index rose 1.3% year-on-year to 106.3 points in Q2 2026 (base 2023), data from the General Authority for Statistics showed. Residential property — 72.7% of the basket — led with a 2.6% gain, driven by a 6.3% jump in land prices, while the commercial segment (25.4% weight) fell 3.2%. The agricultural sub-index surged 11.3%. Regionally, Al-Jouf posted the steepest annual rise at 10.4%, while Hail declined 10.1%.
MOMAH Issues and Renews Over 274,000 Commercial Licenses in H1
The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing issued and renewed more than 274,000 commercial licenses in the first half of 2026 — 97,000 new and 177,000 renewed. The ministry also delivered over 173,000 license-related services in the period, including 91,000 amendments, 43,000 additions of commercial activities, and 39,000 ownership transfers, signalling steady momentum in private-sector formation.
Saudi Condemns Houthi Maritime Blockade Threat
Saudi Arabia condemned Houthi allegations of besieging Yemen and rejected the group's declaration of an immediate maritime embargo against the kingdom, vowing to take "all necessary measures" to protect its vessels. The Houthis said the blockade opens a potential new front against the U.S. in its conflict with Iran, raising threats to global energy supplies and trade beyond the Gulf. Shipping data shows cargo vessels have regularly reached Houthi-controlled Hodeidah port in recent weeks.

Riyad Bank H1 Profit Rises 4% to SAR 5.26B
Riyad Bank(1010.SA) reported a 4% rise in H1 2026 net profit to SAR 5.26 billion from SAR 5.08 billion a year earlier, with Q2 profit up 2% at SAR 2.65 billion. Net special commission income grew 6.4% and operating income rose 3.6% to SAR 9.35 billion, while assets expanded 8.5% to SAR 533.6 billion and customer deposits climbed 9.9% to SAR 348.3 billion. Fakeeh Hospital Completes SAR 1.6B Acquisition of Al Fagih Hospital
Dr. Soliman Abdel Kader Fakeeh Hospital Co.(4017.SA) has finalized its SAR 1.6 billion cash acquisition of 100% of Dr. Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Fagih & Partners Company. The target, a 350-bed facility, becomes Fakeeh's second Riyadh hospital, expanding the group's total bed capacity in the capital to 535. The deal is expected to diversify payer mix and generate operational synergies.

Banque Saudi Fransi(1050.SA) announced an interim cash dividend of SAR 0.57 per share for H1 2026 — 5.7% of capital — totalling SAR 1.42 billion, with a 6.34% yield at the latest price of SAR 20.05. The payout carries an ex-dividend date of July 23 and payment on August 11, after securing SAMA approval. The distribution tops the SAR 0.52 a share paid for H2 2025.
TAWAL in Talks to Acquire 10,000+ Mobily Tower Sites
TAWAL, the PIF-controlled tower operator, is in discussions to buy more than 10,000 Etihad Etisalat Co.(7020.SA) tower sites for several billion dollars, with a potential announcement later in 2026 and a possible IPO in 2027–28. Following its early-2026 merger, PIF holds 53.99% and stc Saudi Telecom Co.(7010.SA) 43.06% of TAWAL, whose portfolio exceeds 30,000 sites across the region.
Riyadh Air Expands Airbus, Boeing Orders
Riyadh Air, the PIF-owned carrier, exercised purchase rights for six more Airbus A350-1000s, lifting firm A350 orders to 31 and total Airbus orders to 91, while converting 20 options and adding more Boeing 787-10s for 28 additional Dreamliners (total 67). The A350-1000 will anchor its long-haul fleet as the airline targets 100-plus global destinations by 2030.
