1. Market Summary
On Thursday, Saudi Arabia's benchmark stock index Tadawul All Shares Index(TASI.SA) extended its gains to a fourth straight session, rising 0.86%, with most sectors in the green. Oil major Saudi Arabian Oil Co.(2222.SA) added 0.66% and Red Sea International Co.(4230.SA) climbed 2%.
On Friday, the S&P 500 index(SPX.US) added 0.52% and closed at a record of 6,173.07. Earlier in the session, the S&P 500 rose as much as 0.76% to a high of 6,187.68, taking out its previous record of 6,147.43. The NASDAQ(IXIC.US) , which also hit an all-time high and closed at a record, rose 0.52% to 20,273.46. The Dow Jones Industrial Average(DJI.US) added 432.43 points, or 1%, settling at 43,819.27.

Saudi Arabia's exports in the chemical sector and related products experienced a 2% year-over-year (YoY) increase, reaching nearly SAR 5.96 billion in April 2025. Compared to March 2025, there was a decrease in chemical exports of SAR 1.5 billion, which is a 20% drop.

Qapqa has secured a new contract with A.Hak Pijpleidingen Saudi Company for Package #9 of Saudi Arabian Oil Co.(2222.SA) 's Master Gas System-3 (MGS-3) project. The contract will involve providing three complete automatic welding spreads and a highly experienced welding crew for the construction of a 300+ km, 56" X70 gas pipeline. Qapqa's strong track record in the region and proven automatic welding technology will be used in this project.
