We wouldn't blame Roblox Corporation (NYSE:RBLX) shareholders if they were a little worried about the fact that David Baszucki, the Founder recently netted about US$2.0m selling shares at an average price of US$37.96. However, it's crucial to note that they remain very much invested in the stock and that sale only reduced their holding by 1.3%.

Roblox Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

The Chief Legal Officer & Corporate Secretary, Mark Reinstra, made the biggest insider sale in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for US$3.8m worth of shares at a price of US$63.94 each. While we don't usually like to see insider selling, it's more concerning if the sales take place at a lower price. It's of some comfort that this sale was conducted at a price well above the current share price, which is US$39.12. So it may not shed much light on insider confidence at current levels.

Roblox insiders didn't buy any shares over the last year. You can see a visual depiction of insider transactions (by companies and individuals) over the last 12 months, below. By clicking on the graph below, you can see the precise details of each insider transaction!

Insider Ownership

Looking at the total insider shareholdings in a company can help to inform your view of whether they are well aligned with common shareholders. I reckon it's a good sign if insiders own a significant number of shares in the company. Roblox insiders own about US$2.7b worth of shares (which is 9.9% of the company). I like to see this level of insider ownership, because it increases the chances that management are thinking about the best interests of shareholders.
