Even though Zevia PBC (NYSE:ZVIA) has fallen by 10% over the past week , insiders who sold US$802k worth of stock over the past year have had less luck. Given that the average selling price of US$1.88 is still lower than the current share price, insiders would probably have been better off keeping their shares.

While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

Zevia PBC Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider sale was by the Independent Director, Padraic Spence, for US$529k worth of shares, at about US$2.64 per share. We generally don't like to see insider selling, but the lower the sale price, the more it concerns us. The good news is that this large sale was at well above current price of US$1.50. So it may not shed much light on insider confidence at current levels.
