Iran parliament speaker accuses US of major MOU violations
July 8 (Reuters) - Iran's Speak of the Parliament Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf accused the United States on Wednesday of major violations of an MOU, citing U.S. attacks on Iran, renewed oil sanctions, threats of further strikes, violations of Iranian "adjustments" in the Strait of Hormuz, and continued Israeli attacks against Lebanon.
"The era of bullying and extortion is over," Qalibaf said in a post on X. "We don't fold."
The U.S. military unleashed a wave of strikes against Iran on Tuesday and revoked a license allowing the country to sell oil after three tankers were hit by projectiles in the Strait of Hormuz, putting pressure on an already fragile ceasefire.
