UNICREDIT CRDI.MI

The lender said market take-up of its buyout offer for Commerzbank CBKG.DE reached 10.9% on Tuesday, while the German bank said it had not been able to identify a single institutional investor that had tendered shares.

The latest acceptance figures, which UniCredit published in a regulatory filing, lift the Italian bank's overall stake to 37.7%.

LEONARDO LDOF.MI

Germany would be a strong partner for the GCAP fighter project, chief executive Lorenzo Mariani of Italian aerospace and defence group Leonardo told Reuters on Tuesday.

(*) Mariani told Bloomberg on Tuesday he expects European regulatory approval for Leonardo's satellite venture with Airbus AIR.PA and Thales TCFP.PA, known as project Bromo, by the end of next year.

He added that an initial agreement with Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund involving the defence group's aerostructures unit should be reached by the end of the year.

The right time to invest in renewable energy projects is now, before wholesale gas prices fall, the utility's CEO Flavio Cattaneo said on Tuesday at a conference organised by daily Il Messaggero.

At a time when the effects of the EU post-pandemic recovery fund are coming to an end, making massive investments in renewables would generate an economic effect and impact Italy's GDP, he added.

S&P Global raised on Tuesday the company's rating to 'BB+' with a stable outlook.

Ride-hailing app Bolt launched operations in Milan on Wednesday in the first stage of a push to shake up the Italian urban transport market, which its CEO told Reuters remains heavily underserved despite the presence of U.S. rival Uber UBER.N.
