Italy new car registrations up 14% in February

ROME, March 2 (Reuters) - New car registrations in Italy rose in February by 14% year-on-year to around 157,300 vehicles, transport ministry data showed on Monday.
Italian market leader Stellantis STLAM.MI, whose brands include Fiat, Jeep, Peugeot and Chinese joint venture Leapmotor, outperformed the market, with sales up 27.2%, according to Reuters calculations.
The automaker's market share stood at 33.7%, according to the same calculations.
Chinese groups continued to grow significantly, with BYD 002594.SZ year-on-year sales up by 205% to 4,110 units, and Chery's 9973.HK Omoda/Jaecoo brands up 466% to 2,960 units.
Tesla's TSLA.O Italian sales fell 6.9% to 786 units.
