- Keurig Dr Pepper KDP.O said on Tuesday that Rafael Oliveira, head of its coffee operating unit, will leave at the end of July, as he was named by Dutch brewer Heineken HEIN.AS as its new chair and CEO.

Here are some details:

  • Oliveira was previously the CEO of JDE Peet's, which was acquired by Keurig earlier this year.

  • The combined entity is expected to be split into two publicly traded U.S. companies—one for coffee operations and one for beverage businesses, in a move targeted for early 2027.

  • In April, Keurig had named Oliveira as the planned CEO of the future coffee company, currently called Global Coffee Co.

  • Keurig's board has initiated a search process for the coffee unit's CEO, it said, adding that Keurig board Chair Pamela Patsley would become the coffee unit's board chair after separation.

  • Keurig CEO Tim Cofer will oversee the coffee unit in the interim, it said. Cofer is slated to lead the standalone beverage company following the planned split.

  • Keurig also reaffirmed its 2026 forecast for net sales of $25.9 billion to $26.4 billion, and low double-digit growth in adjusted diluted earnings per share on a constant currency basis.
