Scout Clean Energy has marked a significant stride in the energy transition landscape by opening a new office in Ottawa and commencing the construction of the Trail Road Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). This project, undertaken in partnership with the Algonquins of Pikwàkanagàn First Nation, aims to bolster grid reliability in response to increasing electricity demand. The planned 150 MW lithium iron phosphate (LFP) BESS represents an important development in energy infrastructure in Ontario, highlighting ongoing efforts to enhance renewable energy capacity and meet modern power needs while supporting community development through job creation and investment.
