U.S. STOCK FUTURES FALL AS MIDDLE EAST TENSIONS FLARE
U.S. stock index futures fell on Thursday following an apparent toughening of Iran's negotiating stance, which dampened hopes of an imminent resolution to the Middle East conflict and lifted oil prices.
Iran's Supreme Leader has issued a directive that the country's near-weapons-grade uranium should not be sent abroad, two senior Iranian sources told Reuters, hardening Tehran's stance on one of the main U.S. demands at peace talks.
Brent crude futures LCOc rose 2.2% to $107.27 a barrel after the report.
Shares of Nvidia NVDA.O, the world's most valuable company, were slightly lower in premarket trading after the chipmaker forecast second-quarter revenue on Wednesday above Wall Street estimates and announced an $80 billion share repurchase program.
Investors also got the first glimpse of SpaceX's business after the rocket maker unveiled its IPO filing on Wednesday.
Dow E-minis YMcv1 fell 0.37%, S&P 500 E-minis EScv1 dropped 0.34%, and Nasdaq 100
