TASI Mid-Market Update — April 22, 2026
The Saudi Arabian benchmark index Tadawul All Shares Index(TASI.SA) trades lower during Wednesday's session, declining by 0.7%. Market performance was primarily weighed down by a 1.5% decrease in Al Rajhi Bank(1120.SA), although gains in Saudi Arabian Oil Co.(2222.SA), which rose 0.15%, provided some support to the index.

Broader regional sentiment remained cautious as market participants monitored the continued closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a critical transit point for global energy supplies. While the indefinite extension of the ceasefire with Iran offered some geopolitical relief, the ongoing naval blockade contributed to a mixed performance across Gulf equity markets.
In the energy sector, Brent crude futures up by 1%, trading at ~$99 per barrel, as prices fluctuated amid the prevailing regional uncertainty.
In the large-cap sector, The Saudi National Bank(1180.SA) is seeing a slight dip of 0.4%. Saudi Arabian Mining Co.(1211.SA) is easing by 0.58%. ACWA POWER Co.(2082.SA) is retreating by 1.6%. Saudi Basic Industries Corp.(2010.SA) down by 1.2%.
