TASI Mid-Market Update — July 21, 2026

Saudi Arabia's benchmark stock index, the Tadawul All Shares Index(TASI.SA), declined by 0.3% in early Tuesday trading, reflecting broader mixed performance across regional Gulf equity markets.

The drop in the index was largely driven by pressure from key heavyweights, with banking leader Al Rajhi Bank(1120.SA) slipping 1.3% and energy giant Saudi Arabian Oil Co.(2222.SA) dipping 0.5%.

Market sentiment was influenced by a combination of geopolitical developments and commodity movements. Investors evaluated reports of prospective diplomatic mediation between the U.S. and Iran alongside emerging security risks, including threats of a naval blockade targeting Saudi maritime trade routes. Simultaneously, weakness in global energy markets weighed on sentiment, with Brent crude futures declining 1.1% to $88.26 per barrel.

In the large-cap sector, The Saudi National Bank(1180.SA) is rallying, 1.50%. Saudi Arabian Mining Co.(1211.SA) is easing by 0.70%. ACWA POWER Co.(2082.SA) and Saudi Basic Industries Corp.(2010.SA) are both higher, moving 1.2% and 0.3% respectively. Saudi Arabian Oil Co.(2222.SA) is seeing a slight dip of 0.4%.
