Al Sagr Posts Profits of SAR 1M in Q1 2026
Al Sagr Cooperative Insurance Co.(8180.SA) reported a Q1 net profit of SAR 1.006 million, reversing a loss of SAR 17.923 million from the previous year. The improvement was driven by reduced insurance service expenses and increased investment income. Insurance revenues fell 3.04% to SAR 146.131 million. Total comprehensive income rose to SAR 1.065 million. Shareholders' equity decreased by 11% to SAR 343.209 million. Earnings per share improved to SAR 0.03.
Al-Etihad Insurance Gains Approval to Use Reserves
Al-Etihad Cooperative Insurance Co.(8170.SA) received preliminary approval from the Insurance Authority to use its statutory reserve of SAR 41.36 million to offset accumulated losses. The decision awaits ratification by the general assembly. The insurer's losses totaled SAR 162.07 million, or 32.4% of its capital, as per the 2025 financial statements. The board had recommended this reserve utilization last month.

Maaden Shareholders Approve SAR 8.8B Agreements
Saudi Arabian Mining Co.(1211.SA) shareholders approved SAR 8.8 billion in 2025 transactions with Saudi Basic Industries Corp.(2010.SA), Saudi Arabian Oil Co.(2222.SA), the Public Investment Fund, and Alinma Bank(1150.SA) during a May 3 meeting. Deals included SAR 4.27 billion in phosphate agreements, SAR 4.05 billion in raw materials purchases, SAR 372.31 million in loan-related costs, and SAR 133.50 million in interest income. Shareholders also approved transferring SAR 157.7 million in statutory reserves to retained earnings.
