TASI Mid-Market Update — January 7, 2026
The Tadawul All Shares Index(TASI.SA) advanced in early trade on January 7, 2026, once rising by as much as 2.5%—its largest intraday gain in more than three months. All index constituents recorded positive movement, with finance, consumer discretionary, and healthcare sectors leading the gains during early trades. At the time of this reporting, gains narrowed to around 1.3%.

Among individual stocks, Al Rajhi Bank(1120.SA) rose 2.4%, Saudi Arabian Oil Co.(2222.SA) added 0.5%, and Saudi Tadawul Group Holding Co.(1111.SA) once climbed as much as 7%—its strongest daily increase since late September.

The upward movement followed the Capital Market Authority's announcement that, effective February 1, 2026, all categories of foreign investors will have direct access to the main market after the removal of the previous Qualified Foreign Investor requirements. The regulator noted that foreign holdings had reached over 590 billion riyals by the end of Q3 2025, up from 498 billion riyals at the end of 2024.

For other large cap stocks, ACWA POWER Co.(2082.SA) up 1.4%, Saudi Basic Industries Corp.(2010.SA) which gains 1.8%. The Saudi National Bank(1180.SA) higher by 4.5%, breaking out from consolidation.
