TASI Mid-Market Update — May 6, 2026

The Saudi Exchange (Tadawul All Shares Index(TASI.SA)) benchmark index rose 0.35% during early Wednesday trading, with most constituents operating in positive territory. The market's upward movement was supported by gains in the information technology, materials, and healthcare sectors, as investors focused on corporate earnings despite significant volatility in global energy markets.

Global oil prices experienced a sharp decline on Wednesday following reports from Axios that the U.S. and Iran are nearing a memorandum of understanding to end regional conflict. Brent crude futures for July delivery fell 6% to $103.22 per barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) futures dropped 6.7% to $95.42 per barrel.

Sentiment was further influenced by the holding of a fragile ceasefire and comments regarding a pause in operations escorting ships through the Strait of Hormuz, a critical waterway for global energy supplies.

Individual equity movements were largely driven by first-quarter financial results:

In the large-cap sector, Al Rajhi Bank(1120.SA) is posting a gain of 0.30%. The Saudi National Bank(1180.SA) is edging higher by 0.5%. Saudi Arabian Mining Co.(1211.SA) is rallying, 3.5%. ACWA POWER Co.(2082.SA) is edging higher by 0.3%. Saudi Basic Industries Corp.(2010.SA) is down by 1%. Saudi Arabian Oil Co.(2222.SA) also lost more than 1%.

Marafiq Jumps 8% after Q1 Earnings

The Power and Water Utility Company for Jubail and Yanbu(2083.SA) posted a Q1 2026 net profit of 127.56 million SAR, an 8.15% increase, as total revenue grew 6.49% to 1.81 billion SAR. Higher production fuel costs and credit loss provisions simultaneously impacted operations, pulling the quarter's operating profit down by 3.72%.

Arabian Mills Net Profit Soars 33%

Arabian Mills for Food Products Co.(2285.SA) reported a 32.76% year-over-year increase in Q1 net profit to 84.89 million SAR, alongside a 10.05% expansion in total revenue reaching 272.73 million SAR. This robust performance was driven by surging B2C flour demand and highly competitive bran pricing. Sequentially, early loan repayments and operational efficiencies lifted net profit 49.07%, effectively overcoming flat revenue caused by seasonal flour fluctuations. The stock up more than 8% today.

Fakeeh Care Approves 75.9M Riyal Dividend

Dr. Soliman Abdel Kader Fakeeh Hospital Co.(4017.SA) reported a 46.86% drop in Q1 net profit to SAR 38.41 million, despite revenue rising to SAR 724.15 million. This decline was driven by reduced operating days during Ramadan and Eid. The acquisition will triple its Riyadh hospital bed capacity.
