TASI Mid-Market Update — Aug 11, 2026

Gulf equities opened lower on Tuesday, pressured by geopolitical friction and reduced expectations for a U.S.-Iran resolution concerning freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

The Saudi benchmark index (Tadawul All Shares Index(TASI.SA)) edged 0.03% higher early in the session. The country's largest bank by assets, The Saudi National Bank(1180.SA), posted a 0.8% decline. Conversely, energy titan Saudi Arabian Oil Co.(2222.SA) gained 0.5% despite announcing a delay in the restart of its 400,000-barrel-per-day Jazan refinery to August 30 following reported weekend security incidents. In commodities, Brent crude futures rose $1.40, or 1.6%, to $89.12 per barrel.

In the large-cap sector, Al Rajhi Bank(1120.SA) is down by 0.16%. Saudi Arabian Mining Co.(1211.SA) seeing declines, moving 0.7%. ACWA POWER Co.(2082.SA) is retreating by 1.3%. Saudi Basic Industries Corp.(2010.SA) is higher by 1.2%.

ADES Resumes Suspended Saudi Rigs

Ades Holding Co.(2382.SA) has received resumption notices for all of its temporarily suspended offshore rigs in Saudi Arabia. The company noted that the market remains tight, supported by contracted jackup utilization rates near 90% and firm day rates.

Saudi Fisheries Shares Soar 10%, Narrow H1 Net Loss

Saudi Fisheries Co.(6050.SA) shares surged 9.99% as its H1 2026 net loss narrowed by 63.68% year-on-year to SAR 4.21 million. The reduced loss resulted from lower operating costs following the temporary suspension of retail and wholesale activities under an ongoing operational restructuring. Management is advancing the SARA agreement and a 51% stake acquisition in Al-Haridha Company to restart assets.

BAAN Reduces Accumulated Losses to 0%

BAAN Holding Group Co.(1820.SA) fully eliminated its accumulated losses of SAR 263.64 million, reducing the loss-to-capital ratio to 0%. The company offset the losses by transferring funds from its share premium account following a capital increase for real estate acquisitions. Consequently, BAAN will request the Saudi Exchange to remove the accumulated loss mark from its trading screen.

Dar Albalad H1 Net Profit Rises 3%

Dar AlBalad for Business Solutions Co.(7205.SA) reported H1 2026 net profit of SAR 25.46 million, up 2.88% year-on-year, while total revenue rose 6.95% to SAR 166.57 million. Growth in parent company business solutions offset subsidiary revenue declines caused by geopolitical conditions. Higher Zakat expenses and investment revaluation losses partially weighed on profitability.

Aramco Lease Secures Luberef Operations

Saudi Aramco Base Oil Co.(2223.SA) - Luberef extended its Utilities Sales Agreement and Jeddah land lease with Saudi Arabian Oil Co.(2222.SA) through Dec. 31, 2030. The annual land lease value is SAR 1.02 million, with non-lease service rates remaining unchanged. The agreement secures ongoing operations and Group I base oil production in Jeddah.

Jabal Omar Names Waleed Al-Harthi CEO

Jabal Omar Development Co.(4250.SA) accepted the resignation of CEO Saleh Habdan Alhabdan, effective Sept. 3, 2026, due to personal reasons. The board appointed Waleed Ali Al-Harthi as the new CEO, effective Sept. 6, 2026. Alhabdan will continue serving as a board member.
