TASI Mid-Market Update — July 14, 2026

Saudi Arabia’s benchmark index, the Tadawul All Shares Index(TASI.SA), lost 0.48% during early Tuesday trading, pressured by a 1% drop in heavy-weight financial stock Al Rajhi Bank(1120.SA). The decline comes amid wider selling pressure in Gulf equity markets following escalating geopolitical tensions in the region, including the reinstatement of a U.S. naval blockade against Iran and military exchanges surrounding the Strait of Hormuz.

Concurrently, regional security developments intensified as Yemen's Houthi movement directed missile strikes at the Kingdom, following reports of an administrative airstrike at a Houthi-controlled airport, as Reuters reported.

Bucking the downward index trend, energy sector bellwether Saudi Arabian Oil Co.(2222.SA) gained 0.7%. The stock's appreciation aligned with a broader surge in global energy markets, where Brent crude futures advanced by 2.3% (up $1.90) to trade at $85.20 per barrel, driven by heightening concerns over maritime shipping traffic disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz.

In the large-cap sector, The Saudi National Bank(1180.SA) is retreating by 0.9%. Saudi Arabian Mining Co.(1211.SA) is seeing a slight dip of 0.3%. ACWA POWER Co.(2082.SA) is retreating by 1.01%. Saudi Basic Industries Corp.(2010.SA) is retreating by 0.9%.
